Unlike physical batteries, the Solar Wallet does not store electricity in a tangible way, but acts as a digital piggy bank created by electricity retailers.

Virtual Battery Performance

The surplus solar energy generated by the panels is injected into the grid and converted into euros, which are registered in the Solar Wallet. This balance can be used in two main ways:

  1. Compensation on the electricity bill:Allows the value of the surplus to be deducted from monthly electricity bills

  2. Accumulation for future use:Stores the economic value of uncompensated energy for later use.

The process is divided into two phases:

  • Charging: When the solar surplus discharged to the grid exceeds the amount to be offset on the bill, the balance is accumulated in the Solar Wallet.

  • Download: The accumulated balance can offset the total monthly electricity bill. The unused surplus is accumulated for future bills or to cover the consumption of a second residence in the name of the same holder.

To take advantage of this technology, it is necessary to have a self-consumption surplus compensation contract with an electricity marketer.

Advantages of the Virtual Battery:

  • Unlimited storage:There is no limit to the amount of kWh that can be virtually stored.

  • Allows to compensate 100% of the energy surplus: Possibility to reduce the electricity bill to zero euros, covering all aspects: energy, power, equipment rental and additional services.

  • Balance without expiration: The accumulated value does not expire, allowing its use at any time.

  • Use in a second residence: The balance can be used to cover consumption in a second residence in the name of the same holder.

  • There is no permanence:Customers can request cancellation at any time without penalty, although they will lose the accumulated balance.

  • No installation or technical maintenance costs:No initial investment or additional costs.

  • Doesn't take up space.

In conclusion, the Solar Wallet  is an efficient and flexible tool that maximizes the use of the solar energy generated and optimizes the economic savings of users of self-consumption systems alone.
